A little bit about me

Why "Fat Lab Photography"?
People often ask where the name Fat Lab Photography comes from. The answer goes back to a high school photography project, where I was tasked with creating a mock photography business complete with a name, logo, and branding. Inspired by my beloved Labrador Retriever, Dixie—a gentle soul whose favorite pastimes were snacking and napping—I jokingly named it Fat Lab Photography. Dixie was my constant companion throughout much of my life, from elementary school through college. Her loyalty, gentle spirit, and unwavering presence left a lasting impact on me, and the name serves as a small tribute to the dog who was there from the very beginning.
Today, Fat Lab Photography represents more than a memorable name—it reflects my passion for preserving meaningful moments and creating lasting memories for the people, families, and pets I have the privilege of photographing.
